Omni is looking for a trauma competent, quality-driven professional to join our amazing team as the Family Support Specialist.

The Family Support Specialist is a position that provides services to enable individuals and families to obtain access to needed medical, social, educational, and other support services as needed. The FSS function can be generally described as advocating, linking & coordinating needed community-based services for the client(s) and families served. The FSS provides a wide array of educational, role modeling, parenting, problem solving, and individual, group and family services using the Omni Family of Services Core Strength’s approach. This position will be a part of a family team as part of the intensive, in-home program for youth and families. The Family Support Specialist is responsible for serving families with crisis diversion and skill building. Services occur entirely within the community and family homes. Collaboration with team members, and on-call availability for crisis assistance and intervention is also required. The Family Support Specialist works closely with the assigned therapist to provide needed assistance to children and families in their areas of expertise and reports to the Program Director.

  • A minimum of a High School degree and be a self-identified individual or who has lived experience with a person, who has received services related to a mental health. (OR) a Bachelor’s Degree in a social services related field.
  • Skilled in verbal de-escalation methods and universal precautions required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proof of Automobile Insurance and Reliable Transportation
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including rotating on-call responsibilities.
  • This position requires frequent travel and client transport.
